For it is love that I desire, not sacrifice, and knowledge of God rather than holocausts.

The Class of 2009
Aluminum Can Drive
Pick-up date is the Last Saturday of the Month!

The Eighth grade class is collecting aluminum cans to help Save the Planet, and earn funds for their class trip. We would love to give everyone an opportunity to lend a hand in the commitment to “go green” and help the 8th grade at the same time.

Can collection will be the last Saturday of every month. You can drop your cans off starting Friday after 3:15 but no later than 9:30 on Saturday morning in the courtyard in front of the school. Please be sure to tie the tops of bags, and if at all possible, crush cans as we will be physically taking these to the recycling center.

NOTE: Can collection started in June 2008. Through the efforts of those who have participated, 548 lbs of aluminum have not made it to landfills. PLEASE do not leave any cans before 3:15 on Friday or after 9:30 as we do not want to dirty up our school grounds.

If you have questions, please feel free to email snoddy@casstel.net.

Thank you.

Ink & Cell Phone Recycling
Did you know 80% of all printer and fax cartridges end up in a landfill? These items are made with petroleum based plastics and are not biodegradable.

OLL has teamed up with the “eCycle” recycling program which is designed with kids, teachers and parents in mind. Gather your cartridges and phones and deposit them in the bin in the school lobby!  Earnings are designated to go into the general operating fund.

Good Search
Search the web with Yahoo-powered GoodSearch.com and they’ll donate a penny to your cause each time you search!  GoodSearch.com is a new search engine powered by Yahoo!  GoodSearch donates 50% of its revenue, approximately a penny per search, to the charities designated by its users.  You use it exactly as you would any other search engine and the pennies add up quickly.  It doesn’t cost the users a thing!  BE SURE TO MAKE GOODSEARCH.COM YOUR HOME PAGE, AND DESIGNATE OUR LADY OF LOURDES AS YOUR CHARITY OF CHOICE.

Trash Bags
Trash bags are an easy sell - everyone needs and uses them!

#29 39 Gallon
#15 55 Gallon

All bags are $9 per roll
